Global Warming

About me

My name is Mohammed , I’m 21 years old. I live in Abu Dhabi the city of the UAE. My profession is a student in Abu Dhabi men’s college. I’m enjoying my time at the college because I have a lot of friends who respect me. I prefer working in group more than individual work, because helping people let me feel satisfy about my self in life. I have a lot of things that I’m planning to do in the future such as going abroad to complete my higher studies. I always have a dream and this encourage me to do my best and take care of my baseness indoor or outdoor the college. Learning English is one of my first priorities and I am looking forward to improve it very soon.

The global warming

The world is undoubtedly facing a serious problem which is global warming, and this means increasing of the Earth’s temperature. There are many reasons that causes warm such as the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from human activities including industrial processes and fossil fuel. The Continuation of these kinds of activities that produce greenhouse gas emissions will result in additional warming in future. This warming will have real consequences for many countries in the world. That warming will also raise the sea level, as a result of that this will definitely affect the coastal areas. The truth is we all must begin reducing global warming, and fortunately we must do something about it because it is convenient truth.

causes of global warming

If we look a round us we will find many things that causes global warming. Green house gases is one example, the concentration of water vapor, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases work as an absorbing factors that increase the atmosphere temperature, and the most common source of greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide which is produced as a result of the burning fossil fuels energy. Another reason is methane that is produced from fossil fuel production. Deforestation is also significant reason, which means cutting and burning trees world wild. The last reason is cities gridlock, billions tons of gases is wasted annually by automobiles, and these gases is converted into CO2 which the core reason of global warming.

One cause of global warming

Burning forests is like a monster that eats every single leaf that stands in its way. Billions of trees are cut annually, so this means we are throwing hundreds of millions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere annually. There are two major factors that cause this problem. However, these factors can be divided into modified and unmodified factors. The modified factor is the one that caused by humans such grazing, agriculture or building. The second reason is cause by the sun rays, and this factor is uncontrolled because it depends on the sun heat. To explain further, some time the sun heat can burn the dry leaves that falls from trees. AS a result of that the fire may spread out in the forests, and these leaves can easily catch fire.

We are running out of time

We are running out of time and the impact of global warming become more recognizable to the people around the world. However, the core effect that most figures had shown is increasing of the global average temperature. More over, there are another significant effects such as increasing the see level. As the temperature of the Earth goes up the ice caps in the north and the south poles will start melting, so many low level countries will suffer from flooding. Another reason is that many species of animals and plant are doing to extent because they will find it difficult to adapt with different conditions, such as changing in climate. The last effect is the acid rain that is caused from the smoke that comes from factories and automobiles, which will affect the public health.

Can you imagine a life with out animals?!

Many species of animals and plant will suffer until death because of global warming. To go further, many kinds of animals and plants have a specific temperature degree to live. However if any changes take place it will difficult for the animals and the plants to get use to the new changes and come of the species will die. There are many signs that shows the effects of global warming on animal and plants such as, laying ages earlier than usual and changing the flowering time for many plants.

A Painting competition was prepared by the Ministry of Education and other local companies. Go Green was targeting the children allover the UAE, the aim of the competition is to generate attentiveness about the consequences of global warming and the fatal damages that could happen to the universe. Another plan for this competition is to deliver an important massage to all people across the world to prepare them selves for the third world war against the global warming and its causes. The people who repaired this even said “to hand over a clean world to our children.”

Costless way to reduce CO2

People can try several ways to reduce carbon emission; also it can be costless at the same time. The first way is to use recycling methods, this means to produce new products with the second hand materials such as glass and news papers. The second thing is to buy programmable thermostat, this instrument will lower the monthly energy bill by resting electrical machines at your home. People also can take actions on roads to reduce CO2 emission. For example, they can drive 15 miles less per week by walking biking or taking public transportation. The last thing they can do is to fill their tiers in order to have smooth ride in addition of saving up 5% of the fuel tab.

New skills that I have learned

There are many things that I learn from this project. The first thing was about using the internet to interact with the articles and how to get the information from the web sites. More over, I learn how to present my individual work to all students using the blogger web site. Another thing that I have learned is using pictures to express the meaning of the presented article. I learn how to share information and opinions between me and my partners. The last thing I have learned is to use the summarizing methods to help me write my articles
